Here's what you can do if you become a victim of a Scammer through GCash. Firstly, you will need to file a ticket to GCash Help Center.
In 2021, I was a victim of a Scammer on Facebook Marketplace. I saw a post of a plant that is cheaper than the market price and thought it was legit because when I open the profile of the seller, I saw some legit-looking transactions. And so I pay P1,000 pesos for the plant and the seller told me she will already book with Lalamove and sent me a picture of a rider about to deliver my item. After two hours, no rider arrive at my place. And when I am about to make a follow-up on the seller that's the only time I realized I was blocked and scammed by her. So I file a complaint ticket to Globe GCash Help Center.
In another instance, I was looking for a legit breeder since I wanted to buy a pomeranian puppy. I saw a post from someone pretending to have a kennel in Pampanga and asking me to deposit my payment via GCash. However, her GCash number is not verified and she even made some tutorials on how I can pay for an unverified GCash account. Before the transactions were made I already got a hint from the Dog Lovers group that the seller might be a scammer. So I ask her if I can visit her Kennel since I am also on my way to SM Pampanga but she refused and told me that the puppy was already sold.
