Here are the Philippine Basketball Association's Season 48 draft applicants. Who do you think will be the first pick this coming PBA 2023 drafting? The list of eligible draft applicants will be released after the September 12–13 Draft Combine, with the Commissioner's Office reviewing all submitted requirements. The applicants are combinations of UAAP and NCAA school standouts currently playing on MPBL, NBL, PBA 3x3, PSL, Maharlika and D-League. There are also a few Naturalized Filipino citizens joining the draft with the exact date to be announced. Franz Jonathan Abuda who is currently playing in MPBL was born in New York City. Brandon Matthew  Bates is currently playing on PBA 3x3.

Watch Melton, Guevarra wins PBA All Star 2014 Slam Dunk Competition. San Mig Super Coffee's Justin Melton and Meralco's Rey Guevarra were hailed as co-champions for the 2014 PBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena. According to GMA News, Tied at the end of three rounds, Rey Guevarra's 360 one-hander secured a perfect 40. Justin Melton responded with an equally-vicious alley-oop to himself, posing in the air for a left-hander and another 40.

The San Mig Coffe Mixers took a commanding 3-1 lead in the series before the Elasto Painters battled to stay alive in Game Five last Sunday behind the hot shooting hands of Jeff Chan. Game 6 is set on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum with live broadcast over TV5.   <
