Job Hiring for Google Philippines

Google Philippines is looking for Filipino staffs. Finally, giant tech company, Google, Inc. has opened its local branch in the Philippines (Google Philippines) and is now looking for local talents to man its office in Makati. On an ABS-CBN report , Google Philippines said "Our local team will be committed to providing better services to our Filipino users and to helping businesses - large and small - grow locally and globally, contributing to the growth of the Philippine economy. We envision Google as part of everyday Filipino lives and as a partner in the development of local communities, culture and business," he added. Google Top Search Query for 2010

Bing  and Yahoo   e arlier released their top searches for 2010 and  recently (December 09, 2010) Google the top search engine released their "Top Search Queries for 2010". With Justin Bieber topping the celebrity/entertainment world top search both Global and US search market. With chatroullette in No.1 spot and No.2 spot, global and US search respectively. What is chatroullete anyway?   Chatroulette  is a Russian based website that pairs random strangers from around the world together for webcam-based conversations. Visitors to the website randomly begin an online chat (video, audio and text) with another visitor. At any point, either user may leave the current chat by initiating another random connection. After offering an experimental "localized" version which paired people by state or country, the website went offline briefly in August 2010, but returned to service on September 1. According to the 2010 Google Zeitgeist, boxing champ and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao was the most searched personality in the country this year. second on the list were Miss Universe 4th runner-up Venus Raj and May 2010 elected President Noynoy Aquino. Filipino singing sensation Charice came first among the most searched local artists. The lyrics of her song "Pyramid" ranked third in the most searched terms list, which was topped by "jejemon." The 2010 election result was the No. 1 news that made headlines this year. Bing Releases Top 2010 Searches

The top   searches   on Bing have been revealed and at the top of   the most   searched people is Kim Kardashian, who also topped the overall   searches   for 2010. As the top searches on Bing were revealed the list completely changed from last year when Michael Jackson was in the number one spot and who now sits at number eleven. Kim Kardashian ruled the top spot on the people list and the overall Bing  search  list. George W. Bush appears live on Facebook chat

DALLAS – Former President George W. Bush talked in a relaxed Facebook Live webcast about everything from the joy of spending time with his parents to some of the hard decisions he made as president. When Facebook founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg asked Bush Monday why he decided to appear on Facebook, Bush quipped: "Because you've got a lot of people paying attention to us, and I'm trying to sell books." In the hour-long chat webcast on Facebook's live video streaming channel, Bush stood by his vow to not criticize the current administration, but he did respond to a question asking what he thought the Obama administration had handled well. Bush said he thought they'd done well with Afghanistan so far. Bush's book, "Decision Points," was released this month.   — AP

Facebook moves closer to trademarking the word 'face'

NEW YORK (AP) -- Facebook has moved a step closer toward trademarking the word "face" - at least in certain contexts. The company's 2005 application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office received a "notice of allowance" Tuesday, which means Facebook now has six months to show that it uses the trademark and pay a $100 fee, said Cynthia Lynch, administrator for trademark policy and procedure at the agency. Or, it can file for an extension for up to 36 months. Once that's done, the trademark can be approved or rejected. Even if it's approved, Facebook wouldn't have a trademark on "face" in every instance, only in online   chat  rooms   and electronic bulletin boards for the "transmission of messages among computer users in the field of general interest and concerning social and entertainment subject matter," according to the Patent and Trademark Office's database entry on the application. I usually watch online videos from youtube, well maybe because it is the very first hit video sites. I believed it is like using a mobile of Nokia brand, when you get used to it, it's kinda hard to change a brand however only for quite sometimes since i'm already adjusted myself with the key functions of LG mobile...lol... Internet use in provinces catching up with Manila

Provincial cities are catching up with Metro Manila in terms of internet use, according to a recent media study from   The Nielsen Company . Based on a rolling sample over the past year of males and females aged 10 and above across all socioeconomic classes, Metro Manila still showed the highest percentage of Internet users: as many as 40 percent of those surveyed went online in the past month. However, close behind the capital city are Tuguegarao (37 percent), Olongapo (35 percent), Angeles (34 percent), and Dumaguete (33 percent) — each hosting a high concentration of tertiary schools and other educational institutions. "Several factors are contributing to the rise of Internet usage across the country, particularly in urban centers outside Metro Manila," said Nielsen Media (Philippines) executive director Jay Bautista in an email interview with GMANews.TV. Yahoo to phase out classic email in 2011

Yahoo Philippines officially unveiled this week a more streamlined version of its popular web email service, updating the classic interface which has remained essentially unchanged for 13 years. Last November 15, Yahoo Philippines launched   Yahoo! Mail Beta , which prominently features integrated access to social networks like Facebook and Twitter. It is also touted to be faster and more spam-proof than the   Classic version   that most people have been accustomed to for more than a decade. "Our goal is to be a facilitator and aggregator of content," said Isaac Souweine, Yahoo! product marketing manager for Southeast Asia. Souweine's sentiments echoed those of Yahoo's chief product officer, Blake Irving. VATICAN CITY – The pope is going HD. The Vatican on Tuesday unveiled a new euro4.5 million ($6 million) high-definition mobile unit to let the Vatican broadcast the pope's Masses, audiences and trips in   high definition . The upgrade, paid for by the Knights of Columbus and Vatican television and offered at a discount by Sony, will let the Vatican keep up with the rapidly developing technology that is increasingly becoming the norm for broadcasters, documentary makers and others. Pope Benedict XVI has suffered several communications gaffes during his five-year pontificate, but the Vatican has been taking steps to bring his message to   YouTube , social networking sites and smartphones. —AP
