Denise Barbacena's journey in Protege ended in  Protege's 3rd elimination night on November 6, 2011 which was held in SM MOA Center Stage. Denise shares the bottom two with Krizza (also second time at the bottom 2), the Protege of Aiza Seguera. Compare to her previous performance, Denise actually gave her best performance so far with more confidence on stage this time. Denise Barbacena is the judges chosen Protege for Gloc 9. Denise beats the other two Protege of Gloc 9, Derf Cabael and Ma. Kristina Garcia. The three judges teased Denise after her performance as "she made-face" with Gloc 9 before her performance end. Bert de Leon asked her why she made-face with Gloc 9 and Joey asked if there's something special between Denise and Gloc-9 :).
