According to Philippine Identification System, 24 Million Phil ID has already been delivered as of February 2023. 76 million Filipinos were already registered for Phil ID, 53 million of them registered in 2021 and 22 million in 2022. There were 62 million PSN Generated, 31 million card dispatched and 32 million ePhilId generated. The ePhilID is a proactive strategy of the PSA that will allow more Filipinos to immediately enjoy the benefits of being PhilSys-registered. For every registered person, a physical PhilID card is allocated. Registered person will still receive their physical PhilID card even if they claimed their ePhilID. The ePhilID has the same functionality and validity as the physical card. To pave the way for easier and more convenient registration, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is disabling its online Step 1 registration portal and is fully implementing walk-in registration to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) nationwide.
