UAE gears up to celebrate Eid

Eid Al Adha celebration to all especially to everyone here in U.A.E and to all our Muslim brothers all over the world. With a million and one things happening across the Emirates this Eid, you won’t be able to find an excuse to stay in. Formula 1, Vettel: A brave new champion

ABU DHABI — Sebastian Vettel wept on the team radio after taking the chequered flag at the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday. “I love you guys. I love you guys,” the German crackled on the team radio. Vettel drove a flawless race to win the Grand Prix and become World Champion. At 23 years and 135 days, he beat McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton, who was the youngest champion, by 166 days. Hamilton had won the title in 2008. Vettel was also the youngest Formula One driver to drive at a Grand Prix meeting at 19 years and 53 days, when he took part in Friday practice at the 2006 Turkish Grand Prix. He also went on to become the sixth youngest driver to start a Grand Prix at the 2007 US Grand Prix when he replaced the injured Robert Kubica. He also became the youngest driver to score points in the same race. In 2008, he became the youngest driver to secure pole position when driving for Toro Rosso at the Italian Grand Prix.
