World Youth Day 2011 is a Catholic event expected to be held over six days from August 16–21, 2011 in Madrid, Spain focused on youths.[1] The event will cost around €50 million. WYD is self-financed by contributions from pilgrims (70%) along with companies and individuals (30%).
