For the first time, KC Concepcion turned sexy action star in her latest movie "Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story" where she plays the role of Marla Dee, a club dancer-stripper in the 60s who got romantically involved with well-known notorious gangster Arturo Porcuna (played by Laguna Governor ER Ejercito). Aside from KC and Governor Ejercito, “Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story” also stars John Estrada, Eddie Garcia, Leo Martinez, Gloria Sevilla, Tonton Gutierrez, Baron Geisler and Joem Bascon. Showing nationwide on December 25, 2013 as part of the 39th Metro ManilaFilm Festival (MMFF 2013).

Actress-host KC Concepcion took on the role of the Filipino superheroine Darna during the opening number of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show "ASAP" on Sunday. ABS-CBN recently acquired exclusive rights to "Darna," one of Mars Ravelo's popular works.
