Tropical Depression "NANDO" has maintained its strength and is now moving in a northwest direction. Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 - 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. "NANDO" is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Southern Luzon including Metro Manila, and over Western Visayas. Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “MARING” was estimated based on all available data at 575 km East of Itbayat, Batanes (20.2°N, 128.0°E). Strong to gale force wind is expected to affect the Northern and Eastern seaboards of the country. Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves. Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley will be cloudy with moderate to heavy rains (5.0 - 10.0 mm/hr) today and moderate to heavy rains (7.0 - 15.0 mm/hr) tomorrow, February 19, 2013.

Bagyong "Quinta" Latest Update

Here's Bagyong "Quinta" Latest Update. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring a potential cyclone that may form in the Philippine Area of Responsibility as early as this weekend. According to the report another Typhoon might enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on December 24 to 25. PAGASA explained that their models show an LPA may form about December 23, and could become a cyclone by Dec. 24 or 25. But PAGASA forecaster Glaiza Escollar said the country can expect relatively good weather for at least the next three days according to GMA News. According to the latest news, a new potential storm is forming East of the Pacific Ocean. Report says this weather disturbance called WP93 is heading towards the same path Typhoon Pablo took. After Typhoon Pablo PAGASA will name the next Typhoon that will enter PAR as "Quinta".

Here's Typhoon Pablo PAGASA Latest Update as of November 30, 2012, Friday. According to PAGASA, Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Mindanao.Meanwhile, at 2PM today, Tropical Storm "BOPHA" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,040 km East of the eastern boarder of the PAR (04.0 °N, 145.0 °E) with maximum winds 95 kph near the center and gustiness up to 120 kph.
