How to Upgrade your Maya Account Tutorial

Why do you need to upgrade your Maya Accont? Just like GCash, Unlock more Maya products and services by upgrading your account.

Upgrading is free and should only take a few minutes. Simply prepare 1-2 valid IDs and go to your Profile on the Maya app to start. In addition, make sure you have verified your email address by going to your Profile → Settings → Account Recovery.

Step 1:
Log in to your Maya account. Once in the app, tap your Profile then select Upgrade your account.

Step 2:

Choose an ID to submit. Take a clear photo of the front and back portion of the ID.

For Filipino citizens aged 18 years old and above

Postal ID (issued 2015 onwards)

Driver’s License
UMID
Philippine National Identity Card

Step 3:
Record and submit a video selfie.

When taking the video selfie, you must follow the instructions on screen and take note of the required gestures.
Make sure not to cover any part of your face and remember to position your head/face properly in the video capture frame.

Step 4:

Fill out the required information. Make sure that the Name and Birthday you enter in your Personal Information matches the Name and Birthday in the ID that you submitted.

Step 5: Review your application and tap Submit.

You may monitor the status of your application by tapping Check status in your profile on the Maya app. It typically takes 24 hours to process your account.
You’ll receive an SMS confirmation once your upgrade application is processed. You’ll also see the Upgraded Account check mark at the top of your Profile indicating that your account is now upgraded. You can then start enjoying the features of your upgraded Maya account!
