The 32 SEA Games Opening Ceremony will be held on May 5, while the Closing Ceremony on May 17, 2023. Sports that will be held before the Opening Ceremony are, Volleyball, starting on May 3, Wednesday, Chess, Cricket and Football on April 29, Hockey and Sailing on May 1 and E-Sport like Mobile Legends on May 4. Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Swimming and other Sports disciplines will start on May 6.
Thailand has reportedly been asked to pay US$800,000 for live broadcasting the Games, which is the highest ever in the Games' history.
