Many volleyball fans from all over the country clamor for the Premiere Volleyball League to be transferred to GTV, an affiliate channel of GMA Network.
The popularity of Volleyball in the Philippines today is no doubt at par with Basketball (PBA). During the Live Streaming of the game especially when crown favorite Creamline Cool Smashers is going up against another crowd favorite, Choco Mucho Flying Titans you can see 100 thousand plus viewers on YouTube aside from viewers on Facebook and those jampacked crowds in the Arena.
However, more often, fans are getting upset once the scheduled game of their favorite team was not televised in One Sport which chose to televise PBA Games and most of the time the PVL Games aired only in One Sport plus which only limited viewers can have access and have Cignal Cable subscription. Therefore there is a large demand from the volleyball community that if One Sport cannot accommodate telecasting all PVL games it will be better for the PVL to transfer to GTV. The PVL All-Filipino Conference 2023 will start on the 4th of February at the Araneta Coliseum, but knowing that there is PBA and Spiker's Turf, their schedule might collide and only limited PVL games will be shown on One Sport.
GTV has been commended by Pinoy sports fans for its reliable and unprecedented coverage of the NCAA Games. That is why PVL fans want to see the PVL on the said Network since TV5 and One Sport favored the PBA.
On the other hand, GTV must take their chances and bid to get the broadcasting right of PVL since it has a huge community of followers. GMA also launched its newest digital channel "Pinoy Hits" which is also a good venue to air all the PVL Games.
