Marcos's first formal role in a political office came with his election as Vice Governor of Ilocos Norte (1980–1983) at the age of 23. On March 23, 1983, he was installed as the Governor of Ilocos Norte, replacing his aunt, who had resigned from the post due to health reasons.In 1983, he led a group of young Filipino leaders on a 10-day diplomatic mission to China to mark the tenth anniversary of Philippine-Chinese relations. He stayed in office until the People Power Revolution in 1986.

During Marcos's term, at least two extrajudicial killings took place in Ilocos Norte, as documented by the Martial Law Victims Association of Ilocos Norte (MLVAIN).

One year ago today, I stood here before you, setting forth the plans that we have to improve our economy, bring jobs to our people, improve the ease of doing business, recalibrate our educational system to adapt to the new economy, lower and rationalize energy costs, boost agricultural production, enhance healthcare, and continue social programs for the poor and the vulnerable.

Let me now report to the people on the successes that we can now lay claim to, and also the challenges that we continue to face.

Last year, we emphasized certain strong headwinds that were confronting us along with the rest of the world in our post-pandemic economic recovery.

Broadcast giant GMA Network Inc. Apple Watch- Weather app not working on watch

I just got the apple watch and all the apps seem to work. But the default weather app cannot retrieve any data. I just has the spinning dots. I looked on my phone and the app works and has follow access to my location. The other weather app I loaded works great but of course I can't add a third party app to the watch faces. Any suggestions? I had this issue, but was able to find out the cause and fix it. I normally use the Weather Channel app instead of the Apple Weather app, maybe you do too. On your iPhone, go into the Apple Weather app and make sure that you have a default city set up there. If you don't then add one, and that location will show up in the Apple Watch app and on the weather app on the Apple Watch. That's all I had to do to get mine working.
