GMA Network Leads TV Ratings for July 2013

GMA Network Leads across all dayparts in viewer-rich Urban Luzon and Mega Manila

Momentum shifts back to GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) as it closes the gap with ABS-CBN in nationwide TV ratings driven by its strong performance across all timeblocks in July. This is according to data from the industry’s leading ratings service provider, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

For the period July 1 to 31 (July 28 to 31 based on overnight data), GMA significantly reduced ABS-CBN’s lead in NUTAM (National Urban Television Audience Measurement) ratings to a mere 0.1 percent with a 34.4 percent total day household audience share, and outperformed TV5’s 12.1 percent by 22.3 points.

GMA maintained its dominance in the afternoon block as evidenced by its commanding 35.6 percent total day audience share, which is 1.9 points higher than its performance in the previous month. It also improved its ratings performance in the morning block by 3.8 points to 31.5 percent this July, and in the coveted primetime block by 3.3 points to 34.8 percent.

Furthermore, GMA reinforced its leadership in viewer-rich Urban Luzon and Mega Manila, where it scored substantial margins over rival networks.

In Urban Luzon, which accounts for 76 percent of the total urban TV households in the country, GMA recorded an average total day audience share of 38.6 percent in July ahead of ABS-CBN’s 30.4 percent by 8.2 points, and of TV5’s 11.6 percent by 27 points.

Leading across all timeblocks in Urban Luzon, GMA dominated the list of top programs in the area with 18 out of 30 shows. Primetime dramas Mundo Mo’y Akin, Anna Karenina and multi-awarded news magazine program Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho occupied the top three slots with the country’s most talked about program My Husband’s Lover, flagship newscast 24 Oras, reality sitcom Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento, and weekly drama anthology Magpakailanman joining them in the top 10.

Following closely behind are Saturday night comedy program Vampire Ang Daddy Ko, the country’s longest noontime show Eat Bulaga, hard-hitting public affairs program Imbestigador, and comedy game show Celebrity Bluff.

Completing the list of Kapuso programs that scored top ratings in Urban Luzon are the country’s longest running comedy show Bubble Gang, newly launched afternoon drama Binoy Henyo, early noontime talk show The Ryzza Mae Show, popular infotainment show Kap’s Amazing Stories, child-friendly weekly series One Day Isang Araw, afternoon family drama Mga Basang Sisiw, and Kapuso Movie Festival.

In Mega Manila, which represents 59 percent of the total urban television households nationwide, GMA also led across all dayparts and scored a 40 percent total day audience share average, leaving behind ABS-CBN’s 28.7 percent by 11.3 points, and TV5’s 12.4 percent by 27.6 points.

GMA likewise outnumbered competing networks in the list of top-performing shows in Mega Manila with 19 out of 30 programs.

Mundo Mo’y Akin topped the list followed by Anna Karenina, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, and My Husband’s Lover in the second, third and fourth slots. Also securing top spots are 24 Oras, Magpakailanman, and Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento.

Eat Bulaga, Vampire Ang Daddy Ko, Celebrity Bluff, Imbestigador, and Bubble Gang also proved to be strong contenders in Mega Manila, along with The Ryzza Mae Show, weeknight koreanovela The Innocent Man, Mga Basang Sisiw, Kapuso Movie Night, One Day Isang Araw, Kap’s Amazing Stories and Binoy Henyo.

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, 24 Oras and Mundo Mo’y Akin also made it in the top programs list in Urban Visayas.

GMA and TV5 subscribe to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement while ABS-CBN is the lone local major TV network that reportedly subscribes to Kantar Media, formerly known as TNS.

In Mega Manila, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement gathers data based on a sample size of 1,190 homes as compared to Kantar Media's 770 homes. Meanwhile, Nielsen has a nationwide urban sample size of 2,000 homes, which is statistically higher than Kantar's sample size of 1,370.

It is simple why you should hold off on buying expensive rare imported plants. The supply-demand Should be considered as most of the expensive plants which cost about 2 million, 3 years ago like the matured from of Philodendron  Spiritus Sancti and Vaariegated Billitiae can now be bought in it's juvenile form for only Php 5,000 pesos. Due to pandemic, the prices of rare plants from Thailand, Holland and Ecuador skyrocketed. Some I believed are overpriced already. Due to fad on being a palntito and plantita with rare collection of plants, people were spending more on plants just for the sake of having a rare plant on his/her collections. But later you will realized that it is better to wait a little more since the price of rare imported plants are declining. In 4th quarter of this year, one-leafer variegated billitiae maybe in 2,000 to 3,000 per leaf compared to 100,000 per leaf a year ago. credit: Ms.Hannah The price of Variegated Philodendron Black Cardinal before is Php 100,000 f...
