Jeepney/Dyipni "not only in the Philippines"

We always say that jeep/jeepney/dyipni/dyip or however you call it can only be found in the Philippines. But nowadays it can be found in Dubai as well...lol...I just took the photographs of this most common means of transportation in Philippines from one of the vintage car showroom in Dubai. Since jeepney or dyipni in tagalog is synonymous to Philippines you will feel alienated seeing it in another country.

The jeep jeepney or the dominant type of vehicle in the Philippines. These were made from the "U.S. Military Jeeps" left from World War II. Starting with the first creation, the jeepney nowadays has much decor.
The jeepney is the most used terrestrial type of vehicle in the Philippines. It is use as public transportation, for trading, and for family travel. A short jeep ride can accommodate up to 12-15 people, while the long dyipni can load 15-20 people. Typically, the jeepney was full of people, especially during times of commuting of many people.

On leaving the American soldiers in the Philippines after World War II, hundreds of super jeep is sold in the Philippines. Altered the appearance of the Philippine jeepney, they made it fit their passengers, with metal roof for shade, and dressed the vehicle with the living color and decoration in front of it.
The jeepney rapidly emerged as a popular and creative way to firmly re cheap public transportation, which disappeared during World War II. In recognition of the widespread use of these vehicles, the government of the Philippines started to impose limits on its use. There are specialized licenses, regular routes, fares and schedules.
The common jeepney has large side windows Although the original of the jeepney was revised military jeep, making now the modern workplace of jeepney in the Philippines. The central island of Cebu, making the most of the jeepneys using the vice-used (second hand) that the truck in Japan, originally intended to carry cargo rather than passengers.
