Update on OFW Claims for Back Wages against Saudi Oger

What happen to the claims or our Overseas Filipino Workers against Saudi Oger?  The claimants will get the assistance from Department of  Migrant Workers very soon. Earlier, according to Inquirer report, the Saudi prince pledged P30.5 billion in payment for the claims of the displaced OFWs, including the late Pascual. But it wasn’t the first time the Saudi government made the pledge. In October 2021, former Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said his Saudi counterpart, then Labor Minister Ahmed al-Rajhi, offered to pay P4.6 billion for the claims of 11,000 OFWs by December 2021. But no payment has been made up until now. Meanwhile, MIGRANT Workers Secretary Susan Ople announced on March 6, a P10,000 humanitarian package each for workers seeking unpaid wages in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2016. 24 Million Phil ID Card already Delivered

According to Philippine Identification System, 24 Million Phil ID has already been delivered as of February 2023. 76 million Filipinos were already registered for Phil ID, 53 million of them registered in 2021 and 22 million in 2022. There were 62 million PSN Generated, 31 million card dispatched and 32 million ePhilId generated. The ePhilID is a proactive strategy of the PSA that will allow more Filipinos to immediately enjoy the benefits of being PhilSys-registered. For every registered person, a physical PhilID card is allocated. Registered person will still receive their physical PhilID card even if they claimed their ePhilID. The ePhilID has the same functionality and validity as the physical card. The March 5 Physician Licensure Exam Board Passers and Top Notchers are available here once the result is announced. The Physician Licensure Examination will be held on March 5-6, 12-13,  2023 simultaneously in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales Pangasinan, Tacloban ad Tuguegarao.  Examinees are required to fill up the information under Annex “A” and Annex “B” as required in Memorandum No. 68 on or before two days before the licensure examinations. Printed copies of Annex “A” and “B” will no longer be collected during the examinations.
