Minor to moderate impacts from gale-force winds are possible within any of the areas where Wind Signal No. 2. Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are also possible within any of the areas where Wind Signal No.1 is hoisted. Current forecast scenario shows that the highest wind signal that may be hoisted will be Wind Signal No. 4 or 5 (e.g., typhoon-force wind threat)

EGAY and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon may also bring gusty conditions over the following areas not under any Wind Signal, especially in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds:

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS
Under the influence of EGAY, a Gale Warning is in effect over several coastal waters along the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, the seaboards of Southeastern Luzon, and the eastern seaboards of Visayas and Mindanao. Sea travel is risky for small seacrafts. For larger vessels, operating in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. Mariners without proper experience or operating ill-equipped vessels are advised to remain in port or seek safe harbor. For more information, refer to Gale Warning #2 (Intermediate) issued at 11:00 PM today.

In the next 24 hours, EGAY may also bring moderate to rough seas (2.0 to 3.0) over the coastal waters along the western seaboard of Southern Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Mindanao outside Gale Warning area. Mariners of small seacrafts are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing over these waters. If inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels, avoid navigating in these conditions.

Bagyong Egay Intensifies from PAGASA Latest Update

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
• A considerable shift in the track forecast is observed in the current bulletin.
• EGAY is forecast to track west northwestward or westward in the next 12 hours before turning generally northwestward over the Philippine Sea east of Northern and Central Luzon. A brief period of west northwestward movement from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning will bring EGAY over the Luzon Strait, resulting in a close approach over the Batanes-Babuyan Islands area by Wednesday morning. A landfall scenario over Batanes-Babuyan or northeastern mainland Cagayan is not ruled out since this is within the forecast confidence cone.
•  EGAY is forecast to continuously intensify and may reach super typhoon category by Wednesday while passing over the Balintang Channel. Interaction with the rugged terrain of Northern Luzon and Southern Taiwan will trigger a period of weakening by late Wednesday as it moves over the waters near Southern Taiwan.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.

The next tropical cyclone bulletin will be issued at 5:00 AM tomorrow.

Most Loved Dog Breed in the Philippines- Netizens Choice

What is the Most Popular dog breed in the Philippines? Shih-Tzu, Pomeranian and Aspin are some of the most loved dog breeds in the Philippines. They say having a fur baby at home makes us feel happy and less stressed person. In 2021, I bought, Pomeranian, Maltese and Shih-Tzu puppies and they are all adorable although a bit pricey. But I understand that the breeder needs to bring them to the clinic for vaccination and deworming aside from providing them food and vitamins. Only last month, we adopted a mother Aspin stray dog and her litter. Once you started acquiring and engaging with dogs then it's hard to stop cause you will fall in love with them. But as they say, the dog is the only creature on earth who loves you more than he loves himself. Dog Therapy is a type of therapy that uses dogs or other pets to improve the physical and mental health of patients with certain acute or chronic diseases. It is being studied as a way to relieve distress in cancer patients undergoing treatm...

How to Avail of DSWD's Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT) Program

To mitigate the effects of the increase in fuel prices and other commodities, the Philippine government committed to provide the bottom 50 percent of Filipino households with financial support through the Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT) Program.  TCT Program pertains to the cash grant program for the poorest 50 percent of Filipino households to be implemented by DSWD for six months to alleviate the impact of rising fuel prices. This program is patterned after the 2018 to 2020 UCT program as provided under RA 10963 or the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.  The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is assigned as co-chair of the lnteragency Committee (IAC) created to oversee the implementation of the TCT Program.  This guideline is being issued to provide guidance on the implementation of TCT Program, particularly:  1. Identification of the 12.4 million households to receive the cash transfer; 2. Preparation of payroll and inst...

Why Refrain from Buying Imported Plants

It is simple why you should hold off on buying expensive rare imported plants. The supply-demand Should be considered as most of the expensive plants which cost about 2 million, 3 years ago like the matured from of Philodendron  Spiritus Sancti and Vaariegated Billitiae can now be bought in it's juvenile form for only Php 5,000 pesos. Due to pandemic, the prices of rare plants from Thailand, Holland and Ecuador skyrocketed. Some I believed are overpriced already. Due to fad on being a palntito and plantita with rare collection of plants, people were spending more on plants just for the sake of having a rare plant on his/her collections. But later you will realized that it is better to wait a little more since the price of rare imported plants are declining. In 4th quarter of this year, one-leafer variegated billitiae maybe in 2,000 to 3,000 per leaf compared to 100,000 per leaf a year ago. credit: Ms.Hannah The price of Variegated Philodendron Black Cardinal before is Php 100,000 f...
