Kris Aquino files a Permanent Protection Order (TRO) under Republict Act 9262 o Anti-Violence Against Women And Their Children Act against ex-husband cager James Yap before the Makati City court due to "overstepping his boundaries and of attempting to seduce her while visiting her home, and of inflicting psychological harm on their son Bimby."

James Yap on the other hand reacts on ex-wife's decision to file a PPO against him, saying what happened between them in December 3, 2012 was all sort of a misunderstanding.

"Wala naman na akong pakialam kay Kris eh. Ang gusto ko lang makasama ang anak ko. Bakit ako sinisiraan sa anak ko? Para ano? Ano bang gusto niya? Nasasaktan ako kasi 'yung anak ko sobrang sama na ng tingin sa akin. As a father, sobrang nasasaktan ako, sinasabihan akong 'I don't like you, you're a liar. Iniisip ko ano bang ginawa ko? Wala naman akong ginawa. Tinanong ko, 'Sinong natuturo sa 'yo niyan?' 'Mama, mama.' Ang ginagawa ko na lang kapag sinasabihan ako ng masama, sinasabi ko na lang, 'Bimb tingin ka sa mata ni papa. Love na love ka ni papa,'" the cager said.
