On May 17, during the packed concert titled “I Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Araneta” at the Big Dome, Viceral staged a whole segment about unlikely celebrities becoming bold stars.
The segment, uploaded on YouTube in its entirety, included jokes about Soho, the only GMA 7 personality among ABS-CBN stars (Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino, Gus Abelgas and Kim Atienza) “roasted.”
Jessica Soho who is one of the most awarded media personality in the land sent a message to Inquirer saying "I thank all those who shared my hurt and expressed their support, but this should not be about me but about rape victims who suffer tremendously from this terrible crime. The horrors they go through are unspeakable and should never be taken lightly, especially by way of a cruel joke."
Meanwhile, Arnold Clavio, who is known to be an advocate against gay discrimination and bullying lambasted Vice Ganda.
Aside from Clavio, three other GMA News personalities Jiggy Manicad, Mark Salazar and Maki Pulido, on Twitter, expressed their sentiments on Vice Ganda's unacceptable jokes involving Soho and "rape" issue.
Jiggy Manicad (@jiggymanicad):
Para kay Vice Ganda, personal ko ito. Hindi joke ang salitang "rape." Pakiretweet po hanggang makaabot sa kanya.
Jiggy Manicad (@jiggymanicad):
At para mas maintindihan mo Vice Ganda, ipapakilala kita sa ilang biktima para maramdaman mo ang trauma nila. Bad joke bro.Pls retweet.
Jiggy Manicad (@jiggymanicad):
@vicegandako Para sa iyo Vice Ganda I hope you got my message loud and clear.

Rape is not a joke. It's not funny. It's violence vs women. It's a dark day when rape joke is made in a coliseum full of people.
maki pulido (@makipulido)
Vice ganda should realize that rape is not a joke. That rape is a form of violence. Pls RT hanggang umabot sa kanya.
Mark P. Salazar (@MarkSalazarGMA7)
@jkballentes @makipulido kaya nirerespeto ko si dolphy, naging legend sya nang hindi namamahiya ng kapwa tao. Yun ang henyong komedyante.
