Stay connected to friends, games, and achievements
With the Xbox app on your Windows 10 PC, tablet, or phone, you can see what friends are playing right now, chat, track achievements, and share your latest game clips.
The Xbox experience is coming to Windows 10. Together, they’ll take your gaming further with the worlds greatest multiplayer community, the best of Xbox Live and more.
Sign in
- While the app loads, you'll first see a green animation with the Xbox logo. When the logo disappears, tap or click the white Sign in button near the bottom of the screen.
If you already have an Xbox profile, type in the Microsoft account email address and password you use to sign in to your console.
Important Use the same Microsoft account that you use to sign in to your Xbox.

If you have a Microsoft account but have not yet created an Xbox profile, go to Xbox.com and tap or click Sign in at the upper-right side of the screen.- Enter your Microsoft account email and password and tap or click Sign in.
- Follow the prompts to accept the Xbox Terms of Use.
- Upon acceptance, an Xbox profile, including gamertag, will be automatically assigned to your email. You can change your gamertag for free within the first 30 days. After that, there will be a small fee. For information on how to change your gamertag, see How to change your Xbox Live gamertag on Xbox 360 or Xbox One.
Don’t have either a Microsoft account or an Xbox profile? Go to Xbox.com and tap or click Sign up now toward the bottom of the page.- Select an email address you'd like to use to sign in to the Xbox app, create a password, and then complete the remainder of the form and click or tap Create account.
- Follow the prompts to accept the Xbox Terms of Use.

When launching the Xbox app for the first time, you'll be prompted to sign in.
Note If you use a different Microsoft account to sign in to your Windows computer than the one used to set up your Xbox Live profile, you may want to consolidate your accounts so that you only have one Microsoft account to remember. See Move your Xbox Live profile to another Microsoft account on Xbox 360. - Once you've signed in to the Xbox app, you'll see your Home screen, which is designed to present a full and rich experience of what's happening in your Xbox community as it relates to you.

- Home
- Achievements
- Messages
- Store
- Settings
