GMA Network issues Statement on Vhong Navarro's attempted rape issue

This is to clarify that the complainant involved in the Vhong Navarro incident is not related to GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.

From the moment GMA News learned of the story, it sought the side of Vhong Navarro. Roño, his manager, gave GMA News a written statement,which was aired yesterday. Today, GMA News aired an interview with Navarro's lawyer Atty Alma Mallonga. The report about the alleged attempted rape was based on the blotter filed at the Investigative Section of the Southern Police District where Vhong Navarro was taken after the incident. Other news organizations also reported it.

I’m not a CRIMINAL .
Ang napanood niyong interview is planned by the station, para lumabas na walang kasalanan si vhong.
He clearly had the intention to rape denise at that time, naawa kami kaydenise kaya binugbog namin siya, wala kayong alam sa totoong nangyari kaya wag kayong mang husga agad. Mayayaman kami aanohin namin ang 1m? Wag kayo maniwala sa mga lumalabas sa media, malakas ang kapit niyan ni Vhong sa station kaya’t kaya niyang baguhin ang istorya with the help of media. Sana pakinggan niyo ang side namin.”
