Cooper’s report aired on Wednesday apparently irked Sanchez. In her early morning radio show, she was quoted as saying: “Itong si Anderson Cooper, sabi wala daw government presence sa Tacloban. Mukhang hindi niya alam ang sinasabi niya. (This Anderson Cooper, he said there was no government presence in Tacloban. It seems he doesn’t know what he is saying.), according to Inquirer report.
“I urge her to go there (Tacloban). I’m sure she has the means as she’s the wife of the Interior Secretary. Her husband’s a politician, I’m sure he can arrange her a flight,” said Cooper, referring to Manuel “Mar” Roxas II who is at the forefront of relief operations for victims of Supertyphoon “Yolanda”.

Truth really hurts Korina. You are pissed off because your husband is part of the government plus he is seeing the whole operation. May whatever cooper is reporting will not be think as somewhat degrading the government, but let it be a wake up call that our money isnt used well because at times like this-- they cant handle the situation in an orderly manner that is supposedly all are expecting them to do.

Many Giornalists, Broadcasters and Reporters in the Philippines have friends, parents, wifes, husbands and relatives in the government. so obviously they are defending them. I've read and saw a lot of foreign news about what's happening in the Philippines, and all of them are elaborately and professionally well done. thanks to them we see other points of view.

Obviously, there's a conflict of interest about Ms.Sanchez being part of one of the mainstream media in Philippines while her husband serves as Interior secretary. Filipinos should question the presence of such personalities in mass media, The rule of neutrality must be observed, and their motives must be questioned as to why they should continue to exercise such powerful position while a member of their family holds key political position in the government.
