The Philippines will be participating in 39 out of 42 sports included in the SEA Games calendar to be played in Indonesia.
So far, the number of Philippine athletes per sport are as follows: swimming (10), diving (7), water polo (13), archery (8), athletics (22), badminton (8), baseball (22), basketball (24), billiards and snooker (13), bowling (12), boxing (10), bridge (13), canoeing (5), chess (12), cycling (12), equestrian (6), fencing (23), fin swimming (5), football (20), golf (7), gymnastics (9), judo (12), karatedo (9), paragliding (6), pencak silat (9), petanque (7), rowing (10), sailing (5), windsurfing (2), sepak takraw (6), shooting (11), softball (39), sportclimbing (13), table tennis (6), taekwondo (17), tennis (8), soft tennis (10), traditional boat race (39), beach volleyball (4), water ski (4), weightlifting (6), wrestling (8), wushu (14).
The POC have approved for the inclusion of 14 athletes from futsal but are still determining whether to include either the men’s or the women’s team.
