Here's Typhoon 'Maring" PAGASA Update on August 19, 2013 issued at 11:00 AM.  Tropical Storm “MARING” has maintained its strength and remained almost stationary for the past six hours. Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “MARING” was estimated based on all available data at 575 km East of Itbayat, Batanes (20.2°N, 128.0°E). Strength: Maximum winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of 90 kph. Movement: Forecast to move East Northeast at 7 kph. Forecast Positions: Tropical Storm “MARING” is expected to be at 700 km East of Itbayat, Batanes tomorrow morning and at 680 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes by Wednesday morning. TV5 beat GMA-7 and ABS-CBN on TV Ratings during their coverage of FIBA Asia 2013 Semi-Finals on Over five million Filipinos watched the local coverage of the FIBA Asia Championship last Saturday and Sunday, making TV5 the weekend primetime winner of the ratings game. According to the Mega Manila TV audience measurement (MEGATAM) overnight data from Nielsen Media Research, TV5′s coverage of the heart-stopping game of Gilas Pilipinas against South Korea in the semifinal round on August 10 garnered 33.1 percent audience share, beating GMA-7′s 30.1 percent and ABS-CBN’s 24.3 percent. After the dramatic win of the national team against South Korea, TV5 continued to lead the ratings on Sunday with its coverage of the finals game when Gilas Pilipinas battled for gold with basketball powerhouse Iran.
