Watch out for “Minute to Win It” this January on ABS-CBN. For updates on the program, visit www.abs-cbn.com. Try-outs for the game show will open on January 7 and 8, 8AM at the ABS-CBN Center Road in Quezon City to people 18 years old and above. Interested participants are encouraged to practice at home the games mentioned here. The Philippine version of “Minute to Win It” will be hosted by Luis Manzano. Contestants take part in a series of challenges that utilize readily available items at home, school, and the office, in less than one minute each. With each level increasing in difficulty and cash prize, contestants will have to decide if they stop playing and take the money they’ve earned, or continue for a shot at P1 million.

"It's Showtime" continues to be the most watched noontime variety program nationwide by beating the longest running show Eat Bulaga according to Kantar ABS-CBN's noontime offering had a winning streak in national TV ratings in the last week of December, overtaking its rival program, Television And Production Exponents' (TAPE) "Eat Bulaga!" According to the latest TV ratings data of multinational market research group KantarMedia, "It's Showtime" garnered 13.9% in nationwide ratings last December 26 (Wednesday), compared to "Eat Bulaga," which earned a national TV rating of 12.4%. The subsequent yearender episodes of "It's Showtime" also drew in more TV viewers nationwide, compared to its rival program: 14.4% vs 13.4% (December 27); 13.4% vs 13.1% (December 28); and 13.2% vs 12.8% (December 29).

The movie who won BEst Picture in the recently concluded MMFF 2012 Awarding Ceremony is being accused of copying from another movie from China. According to InterAksyon, To date, neither anyone representing Star Cinema, the Metro Manila Film Festival and the Metro Manila Development Authority has issued any statements to acknowledge that “One More Try” was adapted from “In Love We Trust”. Sources say that the working title for “One More Try” was actually “In Love We Trust”. In an article from Interkasyon.com, it says that Star Cinema, the producer of the movie, had reserved the November 14, 2012 playdate in April and June last year for a movie with the title “In Love We Trust”. Earlier reports state that Angelica Panganiban,Dingdong Dantes, and Angel Locsin will topbill the said movie and Ruel S. Bayani is slated to direct the movie.
