Filipino multi-awarded film director, Marilou Diaz-Abaya succumbed to breast cancer at 6:45 p.m. today, October 8, at St. Luke's Hospital, Global City, Taguig City. She was 57.
She was the founder and president of the Marilou Diaz-Abaya Film Institute and Arts Center, a film school based in Antipolo City, Philippines.
