Here's Typhoon Karen and Typhoon Lawin Latest Weather Update! Today September 11, PAGASA said that the ACTIVE LOW PRESSURE AREA (ALPA) East of Mindanao has developed into a Tropical Depression and was named "KAREN".
Estimated rainfall amount is from 10 - 20 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.
Tropical Depression "KAREN" is still too far to affect any part of the country.
"Karen" is likely to intensify within the next 6 to 12 hours.
Meanwhile, after Typhoon Karen, Typhoon "Lawin" is expected to be the local codename of the next typhoon that will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility. Though we always hope that the typhoon will not bring heavy rain and not cause flooding.
