Here's the latest update on Typhoon Ramon (Bagyong Ramon) as of October 11.
At 4:00 a.m. today, Tropical Depression "RAMON"was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 360 km East Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur (7.7°N, 129.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 17 kph.
In its 11 p.m. update, PAGASA placed the following areas under Signal No. 1 — which means residents there should expect winds of 45 to 80 kilometers per hour within the next 36 hours:

PAGASA estimated Ramon to bring rainfall of 10 to 30 millimeters per hour (moderate to heavy) within the 400-kilometer (km) diameter of the storm.
