Ogie Alcasid stars “Boy Pick-Up: The Movie” a spin-off movie of the popular sketch segment of longest running comedy show in the country “Bubble Gang” will soon hit theaters nationwide. Joining Ogie in this much-awaited comedy film of the year are Michael V., Dennis Trillo, Sam Pinto, Sarah Lahbati, Gwen Zamora, Eri Neeman and Solenn Heussaff. Directed by Dominic Zapata, “Boy Pick-Up: The Move” is a co-production of Regal Entertainment and GMA Films.

The trailer for the Yam Laranas horror film “The Road” became no. 1 in iTunes Top 25 trailers. The U.S. theatrical trailer of GMA Films’ “The Road” became no. 1 among the most popular trailers in iTunes starting 5pm LA time (April 23) or 8am Manila (April 24). In the screen capture above, “The Road’s” trailer was at the number 1 spot followed by the trailer of “The Avengers.” “The Road” will have a red-carpet gala premiere at the Mann Chinese theater in Los Angeles on May 9 and beginning May 11, it will hit at least 50 theaters in Northern America and in selected theaters in Singapore beginning May 15.

It is directed by Joel Lamangan and premieres on May 9, 2012.

One of the best actor of his generation, Kapamilya hearththrob, King Coco Martin is set to is set to do a movie with Kapuso primetime Queen Marian Rivera under Regal Entertainment. The two whose current teleseryes pitted against each other (Coco's "Walang Hanggan" and Marian's "My Beloved") will soon pair-up in a movie to be directed by Maryo J. delos Reyes. The movie, which Regal matriarch Mother Lily promises to be a big one, will be shown in theaters within the year. Regal Films in a recent tweet has confirmed that Coco and Marian are teaming up for a romantic movie to be officially titled “Maybe This Time.”

The Witness is the first joint project of Indonesian film outfit Skylar Pictures with GMA Films, don't miss The Witness in cinemas on March 21. It is already confirmed that Coco Martin is set to do a movie with Marian Rivera under the production of Regal Films. The movie is set to be directed by Maryo J. delos Reyes.  Regal Films reportedly announced on Twitter the upcoming Coco - Marian starrer, which will be helmed by internationally acclaimed director Maryo J. delos Reyes.

Santa Claus is coming to town – and this year, he’s getting a little help from Justin Bieber, Aardman Animations, and Sony Pictures Animation. When “Arthur Christmas,” the 3D, CG-animated movie from Aardman for Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures, rolls into Philippine theaters on December, Bieber’s rendition of “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town,” from his new Christmas album “Under The Mistletoe,” will play over the end credits. In addition, before the movie, moviegoers will see the exclusive music video for the song, which will premiere in theaters only with “Arthur Christmas.” The video will be inspired by the movie and feature footage from the film. Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with the endearing animated feature “Winnie the Pooh.” Featuring the timeless charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical “bear of very little brain” and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo…and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail. Inspired by three stories from A.A. Milne’s books in Disney’s classic, hand-drawn art style, “Winnie the Pooh” will be shown soon exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas (Glorietta 4 & Greenbelt 3). “The entire story takes place in the course of a day,” says director Don Hall. “It’sbusiness as usual in the Hundred Acre Wood. Pooh wakes up absolutely famished and he happens to have no honey. To mark its 25th anniversary year, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh present The Phantom of the Opera in a fully-staged, lavish production, set in the sumptuous Victorian splendour of the Royal Albert Hall with a cast and orchestra of over 200. Audiences around the world marked the celebration last Sunday, October 2, when the event was beamed live via satellite to cinemas across the globe.
