According to the report from CNN, The death of the 68-year-old Scott is being treated as a suicide, said Lt. Joe Bale of the coroner's office. "There's nothing to indicate it is anything else at this time," he said. Scott jumped from the bridge about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Bale said. Following Top Gun's success, Scott found himself on Hollywood's A list of action directors. He reteamed with Simpson and Bruckheimer in 1987 to direct Eddie Murphy and Brigitte Nielsen in the highly anticipated sequel Beverly Hills Cop II. While not being critically embraced, the picture nevertheless became one of the year's highest grossers.

Richard Dawson passed away on June 2, 2012! Richard Dawson, the British entertainer who rose to fame for his role as the Cockney prisoner-of-war Cpl. Peter Newkirk in 1960s CBS comedy show "Hogan's Heroes" and later became a host of the game show "Family Feud" has died. He was 79. Dawson died on Saturday night, June 2, from complications related to esophageal cancer at Ronald Reagan Memorial Hospital, his son Gary said. Dawson won a daytime Emmy Award in 1978 as best TV game show host. Tom Shales of The Washington Post called him "the fastest, brightest and most beguilingly caustic interlocutor since the late great Groucho bantered and parried on 'You Bet Your Life.'" The show was so popular it was released as both daytime and syndicated evening versions. Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb is dead. He was 62. According to reports, Gibb died on Sunday evening, May 20, after losing his battle on colon and liver cancer. "The family of Robin Gibb ... announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery.
