RWM’s local stage adaptation of Cinderella is set to launch by the third quarter of the year. Resorts World Manila, a prime advocate in promoting Philippine theatre arts here and abroad, is presently in the drawing board for this another must-see spectacle for the whole family. Theatre fans may wait for further announcement on who will fill Cinderella’s glass slippers. Meanwhile, RWM’s current theatre offering ‘The King And I’ at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) continues to reap good reviews from critics. ‘The King And I’ will have its final show this May. #MyJapsforasKimforMissSaigon2013. Let us all tweet Julie Anne San Jose to portray the role of Kim in Miss Saigon 2013. Hopefully Julie Anne is interested to do the role. We think that MyJapss age, innocent look and voice suites the role of Kim once portrayed by Tony Award winner Lea Salonga. Julie Anne should at least try to audition and for sure Mr. Mckintosh will surely amazed with her voice. According to the report, Mackintosh will fly again to Manila in search of a fresh batch of “Miss Saigon” cast members for the London show. Auditions will be held at the Philippine Opera Company’s brand-new headquarters, the Opera Haus (3657 Bautista St., Makati City), from November 19 to 27.
