The pilot episode of "Home Sweetie Home" traced the love story of Romy (playedby JLC) and Toni's character named Julie before getting married and sharing a home with their respective families. A medical representative, Romy is assigned on a medical mission at the school where Julie teaches. The two are immediately attracted to each other and agree to go on a date. The John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga topbilled series debut rating made it the No. 1 most watched TV program across Urban and Rural areas on January 5, while "Pepito Manaloto" was ranked third.

Another Kapamlya turns Kapuso. Former Star Magic talent Roxanne Guinoo will soon star in GMA-7's "Home SweetHome" opposite Raymart Santiago. After three years of absence, Roxanne Guinoo returns to showbiz via GMA-7's light comedy primetime series “Daddy Dearest.” During an interview Roxanne has this to say of her transfer to GMA Network: “Masayang-masaya. Ibang grupo, ibang klaseng work. I think light comedy po yata ito. First time kong makakatrabaho ang Kapuso stars so exciting.” Roxanne said of her new network.
