It's a very long weekend for Manila and Bulacan Residents from Augst 25, start of FIBA World Cup until National Heores Day on Monday, August 28, 2023. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reminds private sector employers and workers of the proper payment of wages on the said day. Regular Holidays If the employee did not work, he/she shall be paid 100 percent of his/her salary for that day. Computation: (Daily rate + Cost of Living Allowance) x 100%. Both February 24 and 25, 2023 a Special Non-Working Holidays?

 From the Official Gazette website. through Proclamation No. 167, February 24, 2023 was declared as a Special non-Working Day throughout the Country. Prior to this , Proclamation No. 42 dated 22 August 2022 as amended by Proclamation No. 90 dated 11 November 2022 declared 25 February 2023 (EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary), Saturday, as a special non-working day throughout the country. WHEREAS, to enable our countrymen to avail of the benefits of a longer weekend pursuant to the principle of holiday economics, the celebration of EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary may be moved from 25 February 2023 (Saturday) to 24 February 2023 (Friday), provided that the historical significance of EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary is maintained;  NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND R. "Secretary of Labor and Employment Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz yesterday urged private sector employers to observe the correct pay rules and general occupational safety and health labor standards for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Black Saturday. “President Benigno S. August 20, 2012 Eid Al Fitr was declared as Special Non-Working Holiday in Philippines! August 21-Tuesday is also a non-working day for the celbration of 'Ninoy Aquino Day' “The President today signed Proc. October 31 and November 1 is Holiday in PHL

Aside from November 1, which falls on Tuesday, October 1-Monday was declared by Pnoy as holiday as well. Here's a report from GMANews:   President Benigno Aquino III on Monday declared October 31, Monday, as a special non-working day in the entire country in connection with the observance of All Saints' Day on Nov. 1.  In Proclamation 265, Aquino said this is to give full opportunity to the people to properly observe All Saints' Day "with all its religious fervor which invariably requires them to travel to and from different regions of the country."  All Saints' Day is a regular non-working holiday in the country. Also, Oct. 31 had been traditionally declared as a special non-working day in the past. "Monday, October 31, 2011, may be declared as a special [non-working] day without detriment to public interest," Aquino said.  source:gmanews
