Impossible scenarios or glimpses into the near future? This year, GMA News and Public Affairs embarks on its biggest environmental project. ORAS NA, hosted by Richard Gutierrez, takes us to places where there is significant visual evidence to suggest that time may indeed be running out for the resources that provide our most basic needs. GMA News and Public Affairs’ “Oras Na” aired on November 20, 2011, is one of the 10 finalists for the 31st International Union Radiophonique et Télévisuelle Internationale (URTI) Grand Prix for Author’s Documentary. The GMA News and Public Affairs environmental documentary “Oras Na” (It’s Time), a 60-minute special (SNBO) hosted by Kapuso leading man and environmental advocate Richard Gutierrez, scored a nod at the URTI awards in France.
