2011 Sea Games Opening Ceremony Live and Replay Schedules

The Sea Games 2011 Opening Ceremony on November 11 at the Kuto Besak Fort in Palembang, South Sumatra to be telecast Live on AKTV with our very own Lea Salonga performing in the opening ceremony.  Here's the official announcement from AKTV website: The SEA Games will officially be held on November 11 to 22, with Palembang, Indonesia hosting majority of the events. Dedicating more broadcast hours as it airs the games live on the said dates, AKTV will also give highlights and up-to-the-minutereports. On top of an AKTV Center in Manila, coverage teams will be sent toeach city to feature and support Filipino athletes. AKTV will begin its extensive coverage of the SEA Games as early as November 3 with the football matches at 5pm, featuring the Under-23 Philippine Azkals playing against Vietnam. 2011 Sea Games Philippine Teams Updates, Results and Schedules

The Philippines will be participating in 39 out of 42 sports included in the SEA Games calendar to be played in Indonesia. So far, the number of Philippine athletes per sport are as follows: swimming (10), diving (7), water polo (13), archery (8), athletics (22), badminton (8), baseball (22), basketball (24), billiards and snooker (13), bowling (12), boxing (10), bridge (13), canoeing (5), chess (12), cycling (12), equestrian (6), fencing (23), fin swimming (5), football (20), golf (7), gymnastics (9), judo (12), karatedo (9), paragliding (6), pencak silat (9), petanque (7), rowing (10), sailing (5), windsurfing (2), sepak takraw (6), shooting (11), softball (39), sportclimbing (13), table tennis (6), taekwondo (17), tennis (8), soft tennis (10), traditional boat race (39), beach volleyball (4), water ski (4), weightlifting (6), wrestling (8), wushu (14). The POC have approved for the inclusion of 14 athletes from futsal but are still determining whether to include either the men’s
